Cheer (All star, prep, pom and recreational)
Our cheer program is under the direction of Head Coach Kera. Coach Kera began her cheer at the gym as an athlete five years ago! Since then she was a coach and athlete at Flyers All-Starz, Ottawa location, a member of the Ottawa REDBLACKS cheer team and the Ottawa Sooners Cheer team. Before cheerleading she was a dancer for 10 years. She danced competitively at Thrill Dancers Brockville
All Star Competitive Cheer
Our competitive cheer program has two divisions. All Star Competitive athletes compete in four competitions and Prep Competitive competes in two competitions. Both programs offer a chance for athletes looking to compete at different levels of commitment. Athletes in All Star practice 3.5 hours a week and athletes in Prep practice 2 hours a week. Prep is a good alternative for families who would like to try out competitive for the first time.
Competitive athletes compete in one of the following divisions:
Mini (ages 5 to 8)
Youth (ages 5 to 11)
Junior (ages 5 to 14)
Senior (ages 12 to 18)
Each team has a level based on the skills being formed by the athletes. Our current teams are working on level 1, 2 and 3 skills.
Team placements for the 2019-2020 season will be announced soon. Families will receive an email inviting athletes to a team. We are looking forward to a great season together!!!
If you missed our tryouts for 2019-2020 season, teams are still being placed. Please send us an email if you are interested in trying out for this season. We will be hosting an additional tryout in late August.
Our recreational cheer program is perfect for athletes who want to try cheer for the first time or athletes who love cheer and are not interested in competition.
Classes are grouped by age in the same categories as our competitive cheer teams.
Competitive Pom Cheer
What is pom?
Athletes learn to bring dance technique and the use of poms into a choreographed, energetic routine, incorporating dance, including hip hop, jazz, and kick line, while incorporating specific tumbling elements into their routines.
